My wife picked this guy up at a local show. Obviously it's a skink, but can anyone properly identify him? He's about 7 inches long, fairly docile, and stays in his hide during the day.

I don't know, here's a closer, larger pic of him from above:

that is a yellow lined plated, i have one myself. very easy to care for, at first mine would only eat bugs but now he veggies too and loves bananas in particulary - will jump up and take them from a spoon. very docile even though I don't handle him much, i an pick him up anytime. periodically he loves to climb all over. great, easy to care for, and nifty looking lizard

3 fire skinks, 1 blue tongue skink, 2 plateds, 2 beardies, 1 mali uromastyx, and a wide assortment of geckos.
Ah plated.. was trying to remember the name of lizard that looked similar to alligator lizards in scale structure...but couldn't recall while trying to help ID this lizard.

that is a Gerrhosaurus validus. I have a pair myself. They are plated lizards, not skinks technically (although closely related). Let me know if you have any questions
It actually looks like a plated lizard. I'm no expert though...but it really does to me.
