hey whats the average size of an adult male borneo?
3 to 5 feet maybe, though 6 foot is certainly obtainable. I would think females would be more likely to reach the 6 feet than the males, and certainly only later in life.
thanks. so 6' is basically a pretty big borneo?
Yeah 6 feet would be a big Borneo.
And again, most likely an older female.
You can expect a male borneo to top out at 5.5 feet and around 15-18lbs. I have ten year old males that have reached this size and have held this size since about 6 years of age. Thought they can grow throughout their lives, the really reach adult size after 5-7 years. Females get slightly girthier and a bit longer. Females fed under the same conditions often reach 22-26lbs from what I have seen.

The record size for a wild caught breitensteini is about 6' 10" and with a weight around 50 pounds. As Rich pointed out however, it is extremely rare for a captive borneo to break the 6 foot mark, male or female. The old "curtus" group (brongersmai, breitensteini, curtus) have probably the least degree of sexual dimorphism of any python taxa. Adult females of all three species average only a few inches longer than an average adult male of that species.

Where did you see that? Were there pictures? The length looks about right, but 50 lbs at that length would be horribly obese for a borneo. Yikes!
