SO, I was wondering if with regular handling and attention, can a columbian tegu become as people friendly and attention loving as argentines are notorious for?
Thanks,
Stephen

Well of course it depends on the tegu's personality, but even feisty ones can get pretty tame as long as you spend a lot of time with them. I've certainly seen videos of tame colombians and my hatchling is taming down pretty well too (i spend a lot of time locked up with it in my bathroom).
I do think that wild caught ones may never tame down, however, so it depends on that as well.
Colombians are never just like Argentines. That said, I have two adult Colombians that are quite friendly. It's all about consistent, gentle handling.

I know they will never be exactly like an argentine. I am just wondering if anyone has had experience with columbians wanting to be around people (aka crave attention).
Thanks for the response
