Nice looking animal. It was produced by angelli? I got several of his animals and all of them are top notch . I'd bet $ you'll be happy n shocked at what this animals grows up to be. Dudes usually glad to answer questions n share his knowledge sometimes too....sometimes...lol

Seems like it could use a few big meals and a humid hide and large soak dish and a rock or rough surface...... get its skin looking n feeling great imo...
They grow n shed so quick first couple years if you don't watch they'll have several layers shed skin in tight places creates a potential for infections...just got to be uncomfortable too. I
hate how they sometimes get gangly n funny porportioned at a year...Steves got robust lines of beadeds in with enough food n care are super beefy looking like the grizzlies of heloderms.

Its impossible to determine sex at a year with a photo with any sort of accuracy. ...Females in my experience get stocky n pear shaped around 2 years n males eat n eat n stretch n stretch and imo are more aggressive in general.

enjoy your new bro

peace

I certainly didn't mean to imply it wasn't healthy it looks fine!
...Its just gonna explode this next year for ya thats all. It amazed me how much they eat n grow in the 2nd year. ...looks great imho for that age... just kinda itchy ha ha. Steves a good enough character. I like his animals better....ha ha

I hear you there. I realize I'm living out my childhood dreams
evertime I work with my helodermids. I'm facinated by things I notice about them over n over. Found yours asleep on its back yet? Don't have a heart attack. lol

I'd have to say I'm partial to my gilas as far as looks n puppy dog dispositions but nothing compares to the bad to the bone attitude and confidence of a healthy beaded. Honestly I couldn't swap one for the other in any case its apples n oranges really. They rock n roll and are my most valuable critters by far.

peace

He ate a couple of adult mice today.I set it up in a larger cage with about 5 or 6 inches of bio soil and a 7 qt tub for a water dish.He has dug some tunnels and soaked got most of the old shed off and is looking great now.I will post more pictures soon to show the difference amazeing animal.
