sk8r009 Feb 13, 2010 07:59 PM

normally when my kings, pits, milks and even cribos had these id just grab em and take them off by hand. Not so with this big boy, he remembers everything and im trying to stay off his sh__ list. What do you guys recommend? im going to try warm water in the bathtub tonight and see if it works. if that doesnt work, do you have any advice?

if i run into retained eye caps, i usually let it wait out til the next shed. in my opinion (and this is what i tell clients, as im in veterinary medicine), the stress (especially to a bigger snake) of holding them down, behind the head, trying to get them off with mineral oil, or whatever seems to cause way more stress for the snake and the keeper, than just keeping the snake well hydrated and moist and wait til they shed again.
