wow! congrats! is that the pair that produced mine from last season?! They are such beautiful snakes!

It sure is. I held back a couple of babies from last year. They are now somewhere in the 20 inch range. Here's a pic of the 09 garters I took today of them "fishing" for minnows that I caught in the creek in my backyard and put in their water dish. They also like pinky mice. Not the best pic, but you get the idea.

That's too cute! My atratus are one of my favorites. Not that all of my garters aren't eager to eat but my atratus are ESPECIALLY eager to eat. The female is beautifully pale and has turquoise blues blending into the greens. It's so sharp against the orange stripe and orange belly!
