How do you know that caiman hatched in Columbia, do you have details? That caiman could possibly be one of the albino's that were stolen from Brazil not long ago.

The ones you know of that are available, are they crocodilus, yacare or hybid?

I know of some 100% hets that are available as yacare, crocodilus (probable fuscus) and hybrid of the 2, hatchlings-near adults but only males.

I have been pondering a albino caiman project for several years based on using some of the above mentioned 100% het males but I have put it on hold in hopes to find some other project founders (either 100% het or albino). het to wild type project would be a long long term project and would need lots and lots of space expecially since were talking crocodilians. het to het or albino to het would be a awesome project well worth the time and space!

Are you planning to accquire any of these caimans? Are you interested in a albino caiman project? Email me in you like.

At the Expo in Daytona I was approached by a Colombian National that showed me pics of several albino caiman and albino iguanas. He had an exaggerated idea of their value and I turned them down. On the last day of the expo he came back and said everyone said I was the guy to talk to. I agreed to meet him at the farm on the following Tues. and he never showed up. The iguanas were t-positive albino's and were NOT even close to the quality and color of my albino iggies. The caimans also did not look like the albino gators here look. I'm not sure if this is the same guy or not but likely is as what's the chance of having several folks selling things this rare,,,LOL

Good call Tom, its the same guy, he said he received offers around $10,000 each while in Daytona for the Caimans but that none of the buyers have followed through with purchase.

He says that he has t- albino's, paradox albinos and some type of that looks albino but has normal colored eys (leucistic maybe?) ... ill post some pics if and when I receive some.

Oh, also, there said to be C. c. Fuscus, not spec's

No one offered him $10,000 each as everyone kept telling him he should talk to me which he had already done on the first day on Sat. Sunday he came back toward the end of the show and made an appointment to come to the farm to discuss the whole package deal albino Iguana's and albino Caiman but I had already told him $10,000 each on the caiman was out of the question. I wasn't too excited about the albino Iguanas as I think they were t-positive and really not so nice when compared with what I produce.
