What incubator should I get?

tsusnakeguy Feb 18, 2010 11:04 PM

I have been wanting to get a good incubator for my cornsnake eggs and leopard gecko eggs. I have found two that look identical, that I like. I was wondering if anyone uses one of these and if so how they liked it. I would also like to know what incubators everyone uses and what they think is the best one? I would appreciate any feedback.

Here are the two I found:

I use a GQF Hovabator. I have hatched hundreds of eggs from mine. They work very well and are less than $100.

I agree i think hovabotor is the way to go. I think you can get them for like $50 bucks. You have to watch the temps a little more but its worked fine for me. They say you can put a bunch in those incubators but i think you could only fit a few clutches. If you have the money to spend those would be fine. but hovabators are really just as good. You can also make a bigger one out of a broken mini fridge, and little flexwatt computer fans, and a thermostat, and it will hold hundreds of eggs.

Hovabator or Little Giant.
I have used them for many years with no problems (at least none that I can blame on the incubator). Cheap, reliable, easy to clean and use. One point I like that nobody has mentioned is that you can afford several and if one fails you don't lose everything. Plus, for Leos, you can set up one for males and another for females. I use mine in the off season for hatching and rearing silkworms!
