When do JCP breed?

janome Feb 23, 2010 04:02 PM

So I have a 7-8 foot male JCP. He's @ 7-8 years old. He shed the other day an has been active so I thought he was hungry. Got him a p/k giant rat an he wants nothing to do with it. I'm guessing its breeding time for JCP?

Oh, ya...he is housed in a big enclosure. Has lots of room to roam around, branches to climb on. I'm thinking its mating season...

I'm actually running into the exact same problem with my 06' male JCP. He shed twice in the last 6-7 months and is pretty active but has refused to eat a meal. He's usually never a problem feeder. Just about the last 6 months. He's still pretty fat too.

Mine is fine weight wise. He was all over his cage last night. I thought he would never stop. I'm not worried about him not eating. He's gone 6 months once without eating so I know he'll be fine. Its just the constant roaming around I dont' want him to rub his face but nothing we can do....just wait till they stop.

I have an 07 male that hasn't eaten since December. I'm assuming it must be that time of year.
