Over the summer i will be leaving on a month long (~3 wks).
I dont know what i should do for my leopard gecko.
Can they go that long without maintenence? Or what other options are good? Leaving them with trusted ppl?
Thanks guys.

They can't go that long without matience...how would it possibly survive without water? food? misting? lights on/off? You would come home to a gecko that would be very ill, and you probably wouldn't be able to nurse him back.
*Have a good friend watch him.
*Hire a pet sitter
*Ask your local petstores if they offer boarding
*Ask herp knowledgable petstore employees if they are intersted in watching your leopard gecko.
*Call vets and see if they offer boarding for exotics
Be prepared to PAY someone for their services, plus leave money to buy food for the gecko if you don't stock up on mealworms.
Good luck!

Leos live in the hot dry and a very harsh environment of the middle east. It is that environment that makes them such hardy pets. SInce they live in the desert, they don't need misting. They are nocturnal-- they don't need special light other than the normal day/night cycle. 'Stocking up' on mealworms means keeping an extra 15-20 out so they can be added.. This would need to be done if someone would be watching him anyway. An adult leo will eat 10-15 mealworms in one feeding and may not eat again for another week or two, goneXenopus' options are great ideas, but if not available this will work---
Alright guys thanks for the help.
If you have willing/trustworthy people that can leo sit, by all means. However, a healthy adult leo can go 10-15 days w/o attention. I suggest switching to mealworms, if not being fed already. This will allow extra fat deposits to be stored. When you leave, place a bowl with lots of mealworms and extra water. That way you can have someone look in and add midway thru your vacation.
