If local here in SFL do not play into the MEDIA GAME. They want to film, talk to people in the industry, etc about snakes in the glades and we are only feeding them with footage, not words.
You can tell them anything you want, but they want footage and add on their own narration or crop it so bad, one sentence among many sounds like they eat kids.
I completely reject any and all Film/ phone interviews due to this fact. Whatever you say, they will edit it and make it sound bad for you and us. How many films have we all done, that every single documentary portrays us bad one way or another. When they call for burmese footage or the like, I tell them sorry, we havent had burmese in ten years, there is no money in that snake, andd they are worthless. They ask where so the sankes come from in the gladdes? I say Fish and Wildlife released them to control the cane toad

As a musician this reminds me of what goes on in the music industry. Katy Perry-"I kissed a girl", K.I.S.S.-kings of Satan services (or whatever rumor they spread about it) Madonna-"like a prayer" . I could go on. The point is if you want to sell records an easy way to market yourself is to do something controversial. You will have a lot of preachers out there on sunday morning screaming about the evils of your music-FREE ADVERTISING-to a captive audience of the music industries target market of rebellious youth looking to anger their parents in some way. You can't buy that type of advertising. It;s better than a superbowl add.
I see the same thing going on here. Every time one of these ridiculous shows comes on someone (several people usually is right on here posting about it and sure enough the day after it airs everyone is on here talking about how terrible it was. Heck if I was working in television I'D BE DOING ONE OF THESE SHOWS. WHY???? because they're not expensive to make they horrify people and people love being scared and last but not least....thanks to you advertising is dirt cheap.
Why do you people think radio talk show hosts talk about the things they do? Because they know people will talk about it (more free advertising) they even get people at the whitehouse advertising for them for free. Like I said folks you just can't buy that type of advertising.

ps. this post may contain backwards messages.
