I don't know. Is this real or some kind of a scare tactic? If that is real, those parents are idiots.

It is a joke, a spoof, a parody, tongue 'n cheek, meant to be humorous. The Onion is a media lampoon. However, it is us they are making fun of. That part of it is not too funny. They are ridiculing us. Unfortunately, we are the brunt of the joke here.

but the thing is that the non-snake keeping public thinks all pythons get 20ft and that we all just let them roam free. I only keep ball pythons at this time and you would not believe how many people that tell me I'm crazy to have those things in the house with my 1 yr old. They always ask if I'm afraid they will eat her.

I keep smallish mt kings but I think your better off not telling anyone that you keep snakes at all.

My neighbor doesnt know and never will . No one knows . They aren't ilegal in Miami but I think best no one knows.

Unfortunately, I think that is how mainstream America views us. We're not of course, but the AR folks, Senator Nelson and his ilk, and the media are all doing all they can to sell that stereotype to the public.
