What a joke Alien Invaders and Fatal Attraction are. AP really took it to a whole new level. For those who don't believe this all isn't one big corrupt machine at work, I highly suggest watching Alien Invaders. They had Nelson talking all the time and his words were the final part as they trailed off repeating themselves of the "danger these snakes pose".

You can see where Skip Snow and those assclowns stand where he point blank blames the industry and pet owners for blatenly releasing their animals. Not one mention of Hurricane Andrew. How convienent!

Qoute of the show from Ron Rozar USGS "Burmese Pythons got to Key Largo by traveling down US1". Are these the type of morons the goverment hires? Is that the best reasoning you can give? What a clown!

With Fred Kaufman as the series executive producer of these shows, nothing good will come of any of it. Its Animal Rights fueled propaganda, and nothing more. He serves on the advisory board of The Humane Society of the United States Hollywood Division.

Do you think that a channel that puts an animal rights organization like the HSUS in charge of programming has anything but animosity for exotic keepers? The whole point of "Fatal Attractions" seems from what I read about it to be aimed at attacking the very character of the people involved, and the character of exotic keepers in general. The more they can make us appear to be deviants, the less the public will take anything we say seriously. According to their "Human behavior experts" we all keep animals because we have EGO problems, our interest in them as animals comes second to that.

Having yet another organization (http://www.cwapc.org/ - more of the "we can keep them, but you can't because we are special" "animal rescue" crowd) that wants to see the end of animal keeping as their "professional" for the show doesn't hurt your cause either.

I am writing animal planet off as the garbage it is. (I have for quite a long time now) and encouraging my friends and family to do the same.

Funny thing is NONE of these politicians has fought this hard in fact fought much at all when it comes to destruction of wild lands for golf courses, developments, etc yet they scream "pythons are coming".

In one of the shows they mentioned the Florida panther in danger but they didn't mention it is danger 100% due to humans .

I think Sen Nelson who lost my vote and will be voting against him has a real fear of snakes and again I say this because none of these politicians have fought 1/10 as hard if at all to save wild lands .
They blame the monitor for taking a toll on the borrowing owls in town meetings, etc while everyone who lives in that area knows its the golf courses and development.
The owls are losing land and now down to a fragment of the area they need to thrive in yet no one mentions this.

Pythons and monitors aren't wealthy developers giving money under the table which is the way FloriDUH works and I say this as a Florida resident.

I agree. This stuff is completely INSANE.

Truth and reality simply do not enter the equation.

I'm beginning to have a bad feeling on the outcome here.

It is a never ending tsunami coming at us from all directions.

We just don't have enough fingers for the dike.

What's even funnier (actually it's not funny....it's quite sad.) is that Mr. Nelson and his buddies don't seem to want to fight this hard to keep American jobs or to create a climate that would help create more jobs. The unemployment rate here in Mr. Nelson's state is currently 12% (it is likely much higher as a lot of people here were formerly self employed and do not qualify for unemployment benefits which is how they track the numbers.)
If I was Mr. Nelson I would be embarrassed about that figure. Rest assured come 2012 he will be joining those ranks his buddies who lose their jobs this Nov. will be waiting for him.

You know what's even worse is just the amount of arrogance these Senators show. I emailed Sobel, Constantin, and the other clown a professional, thoughtout informative letter. I didn't get ONE response back. These Senators don't care about me, you, or Bill. They care about the money they get and what they can do for their friends.

I love their reaction when FWC tells them they can't pass laws regarding exotic wildlife, only FWC can. Their mouths drop and they become unglued. That's coming from an officer I know who was at one of their recent meetings.

I agree Nelson is a disaster but perhaps this is his way to get votes but as a registered Dem who votes both parties .I and many I know will be voting AGAINST him regardless of who runs against him.

He has been a disaster for Florida and is fixated on this python thing and as far as jobs, etc is useless .
There are lots of exotic breeders, etc in Florida its big business and even that he wants to destroy .

Again if he would have fought 1/100th as hard to protect wild lands as he has fought to end exotic pet ownership I would have said that at least he isn't a hypocrite but as we post bulldozers somewhere are eating away at wild lands with the blessing of ALL involved in this python ban farce.

Calparsoni Mar 16, 2010 12:00 PM

I'm to the point with Nelson that about the ONLY people who could run against him that I WOULDN'T vote for would be Algore (whack job) or Mario Coumo (escape from N.Y........it's not just a science fiction movie for me.) and their both in his same party.
If Hugo Chavez ran against I might actually vote for HIM.

Lia Mar 17, 2010 10:28 AM

Lol I am from NY and Cuomo has done alot for consumer rights and UNLIKE his father does not subscribe to raising taxes .I like him .NY has had corruption but is now cleaning house something unheard of in Miami.

Al Gore is nonsense and full of bull I would never ever vote for him .The country would be destroyed with his bogus green house plans while other countries operate as usual and win over our corporations.
