Hi!
The inverted position is where/when they are ovulating. This is usually combined with swelling of the lower 2/3 portion of the body and the snake stretching out within the cage.

Typically, 2 - 3 weeks after ovulation they will shed, aka: post-ovulation shed. Expect eggs 3 - 4 weeks after post-ovulation shed.

Most females won't eat after ovulation but still try to feed them periodically because they could sure use the nutrients.

Best wishes!
HH
