Who is breeding albino water babies?

chuckhurd Mar 18, 2010 11:37 PM

I have checked the websites of breeders I have known in the past to offer albino water snakes, but does not seem any are offering babies in 2010. I have checked the classifieds here and a few other places, with no luck. Anyone know of any breeders expecting to produce albinos for sell this year?
Thank you

Hi Randal,

Do you have a photo of the underside of an amelanistic N. rhombifer that you could send me or post here? I caught an albino Nerodia last week and thought it was N. e. transversa, but a couple of people have since called it a Diamondback. I would expect to be able to see a pattern on the belly if it is rhombifer, but there is none that I can discern.

Thanks, Bryan

Hi Bryan,

I only presume to have hets.
The female albino I had, died shortly after giving birth. I saved several and grew them up. I have a gravid female now (Het), so if any offspring come out as albino's, I'll take pic's and post them.
Wish me luck!
