Was seeing a painted slowly swim from shore as I approached a pond. No non-captive box turtles up yet from what I hear.
And, people I know are hearing Spring Peepers, chorus frogs, and Wood Frogs now - not me though, I don't live in the right neighborhood.
I thought i was hearing spring peepers yesterday by a pond that I walk by sometimes at lunch, but then it turned out to be a bunch of little birds making peeping calls, but any day now the peepers should start, the weather forecast looks favorable. I always love the peepers and crickets frogs sounds, gives me much needed rejuvinating hope.
