? about substrate for sand boas ?

i am wondering what substrate everyone prefers to use with their sand boas..?

has anyone ever used towels..?

thanks for any input..

Shredded Aspen. Papertowels are expensive but are good in a crunch.

thank you reply.. i acquired a sand boa that has been kept on towels.. they folded the towel to create several layers... and just the other day i acquired another sand boa that has been kept on aspen shavings.. so i am comparing the 2.. towels seem very easy for cleaning.. just throw them in the wash with a little bleach..

i just fed them, so in a few days i will take photos and weights of them both to post here for sexing them..

I also use aspen. A friend of mine keeps a pillow case in with her smooth scaled sand boa and it is often observed inside. It even pokes his head out similar to the way they do in aspen or sand.
