About 2 months ago I noticed this BLUE patch formiing. and now its bout 3 inches,Its not any type of skin funk.It just looks like you had taken Blue ink and spilled it on her.Has anyone seen this happen before? I've had small black patches develop on my GTP's after 3-4 yrs but they're small and nothing like your pic. That's a new one to me. I wish this forum wasnt so slow bc I'd really like to hear what people in the know think.

I know , people just don't post, discuss or show many pics here in a long time. I know Biaks have patches of yellow, my female Biak is a high yellow. I have not seen any type with a Blue patch or patching. I just thought I would share.

How do you heat you cage?

My best guess would be a burn or scrape from either a heat bulb or squeezing through a tight space!

As long as it remain like this it should not pose any issues.
Should it at all looks the slightest bit inflamed i would vet the animal.

Hope that helps!

Ive been asked a few times the same Question. Its not a burn and (heat source is a 75 wt inferred 5 incnes abouve 1st perch 89deg at that point) Ive seen snakes with burns, The scar tissue is different. Its really hard to say what is going on there only time will tell. She is a big girl and will be put in with a male later in the year. I have too many females at the moment !Thanx

Is that 75 watt heat source inside the cage, or outside the cage? If it is inside the cage, the snake can wrap around it and burn itself. I have seen this happen with light bulbs inside the cage. mild burns will turn normal, green coloration to blue on a green tree python. Kevin

The only thing close to that is I've had Emeralds rub themselves a little hard and it appeared to be like a black and blue mark. It went away after a few weeks and returned to the normal green coloration.

I have seen these marks before.
This is a rub mark. Fairly common.
It will eventually return to the normal green color.

Take care.
