Add toads to common ground?

photojoe Apr 01, 2010 11:42 PM

Hey there

I ahve a common ground area that has a pond. It used to have eastern american toads chirping, but the last year or so they've been cutting to the edge of the water leaving no room for life. I'm working on restoring some habitat and was wondering if I can order them from somewhere? Most of what I see online is exotic

thanks

just go out at night and catch some.way easier than buying and shipping.leave your porch light on;this will attract bugs, which in turn attract toads

Try one of the biological supply companies like carolina biological. You can order adults or eggs, eggs would insure that your toads return every year for breeding.
