Hi All,
I'm hoping someone has some gratuative advice. My RES is in a 10 gallon tank and has had pretty clear water for a long time until recently. Her water got so cloudy that I thought the filter went bad and bought a new one. I cleaned her tank and put the new filter in. It was clear for about a week or so then got cloudy again. Is she doing something to cause this? I have a Painted in a separate tank with the same filter and his water has never been cloudy. Thanks for your help.

there are many possible reasons. have you started feeding more or changed the type of food? is all the food being eaten? more food = more poop in the tank. is there a smell to the water? what does the filter look like when you clean it? there is a lot to be thought about.

Thanks for responding. Nothing has changed with her diet and she never poops in the tank (unlike my other one). I am still continually changing the waterbecasue it gets cloudy every few days. The filter isn't dirty and very new. I am not sure what to do anymore. The other one poops occasionally (although he's been good lately) and his tank is crystal clear. Any other suggestions are greatly appreciated.
