New ETB Owner

Hello,

I am a new ETB owner and am having a bit of trouble regulating the temperature and humidity in the cage. I have 2 babies, a male and a female, and they seem to be doing alright but I know that my temp and humidity are not in the appropriate ranges. As a caring and responsible snake owner, I would greatly appreciate any insight and advice. I have a humidifier that I turn on for about an hour in the morning and again in the evening but when I get home from work around 5pm the humidity is at 60%, which I know is too low. Would it be better to have this system on a timer so that it mists at regular intervals during the day? The temp usually hovers around 80-90 degrees...is this acceptable or should I have the heat lamp on a timer as well? I just want my babies to be comfortable so any help would be fantastic. Thank you!!!

82F for ambients is plenty warm enough..I actually keep mine around 80F. I wouldn't worry too much about how "constant" your humidity is/stays. I live in Vegas and constantly battle the dry air..and I travel extensively during the week on biz. I spray heavily before I go and then when I come home..it easily drops into the low 30% while I'm gone w/no ill effects. Remember, Emmies are canopy dwellers and its more variable higher up..never a constant whether it be humidity or temps.

I would keep the humidity at least in the 60% plus rang.
