I just got my daughter her first sand boa and it hasnt taken pinkies for a few days I tryed in the cage and in out and nothing, can these guys be hard to get to eat, Im more in to burms that take any thing so a snake not taking food stresses me out. Any help would be great H.S.B

i had the same issue with my Speckles.. i tired a cloth feeding bag, placing it in the cage, with the sand boa in it with the pinkies.. then place a small towel over top.. leave it for a few hours, then check..

i am not an expert.. this just worked for me..

hot spot is about 90 cool spot in the low 70's in the day, night its about 75

I would give the snake 1-2 weeks to settle in and try raising the hot spot temp to ~95-100F.

Its only been a week I know I shouldnt stress my self over it, I have always had large snakes that I fed in there cage just made it easier with the realy big guys, but with your experience would you all feed out of the cage? Thank you for all your help H.S.B

Feeding sand boas inside the cage is ok in my opinion.
