Is this True? (inane question)

yautja901 Apr 15, 2010 11:37 PM

A friend of mine said that he was at some Reptile Expo in San Antonio, TX (don't know when-sometime last year) and saw someone who had a T-Shirt of a King Cobra eating an albino Ball Python. He is very honest as swears up and down that he saw this and is even somewhat upset since it had to be a print from an actual photo (meaning that someone actually fed an albino Ball to a King Cobra to take a pic). Has anyone seen this shirt or picture Ever? Please put this to rest!!!

Yes it is true, I saw it in Daytona several years ago. They said the Ball died of natural causes and fed it to a King Cobra and took the picture

Yes, Floyd Olmstead "posed" that picture of a dead albino Ball. A few people wore them at Daytona a few years back, during the Ball Python craze. I remember someone wearing one at my show a few years a go. I was given one as well, don't know what happened to it though.

Wow. So I can conclude that this is no myth. At least the ball was dead. Any pics of this shirt(or links to where it can be purchased)?

Yeah, the one I saw had a caption that read something like:

"Everyone Loves Ball Python Morphs!"

Funny stuff.
I like seeing the expressions on the faces of ball python fanatics
when they see this shirt...or poster...for the first time.

Not sure where you get the shirt...perhaps Tim can point you in the right direction.
