parasites in panther chams

boxiebabe May 02, 2010 09:22 PM

I noticed little wiggling threads in the poop of my juvie chameleon. I've had my cham for a few months, and this is the first time I've seen these worms. How did he get this infestation? Could he have gotten them from crickets? What do I do about it? Thank you.

unless you have a microscope, the only way to know for sure what it is, and treat appropriately for it, would be to take fecal sample to your vet for a fecal float (usually around $40) when the results come back, you will most likely have your parasite id, and will in all likely hood, need to take it in for an exam and a prescription for treatment.
