Can anyone tell me my frog's gender? I just got it yesterday and its a little over 4 inches long and makes a high croaking noise at night if that helps at all. Appreciate any help.

That's the dwarf version of the pyxie, and if it croaks then it is a male.

How can you tell it's a dwarf? Is it from the coloring or spots? The guy at the pet shop swore it wasn't but I've heard that is a common occurrence.

Head shape, color, body, etc.
It's a very common practice for pet sores to sell them as giants, some on purpose, some just don't know any better, and some get them shipped to them as giants when they aren't.
