rosy boa cohabiting

Can you house multiple rosy boas together? Or do they need to be housed individually?

They can be housed together, although many do not recommend this. I prefer keeping them seperated outside of breeding season because it will make it much easier to spot a problem with an invidual if one reguritates or something.
One thing I would recommend if kept together is that all be about the same size. Smaller boas may feel intimdated by larger ones in the same enclosure. Also, always feed seperate and watch them very closely when placed back together after feeding. Captive rosy boas have a very good feeding response and it's not uncommon for one to strike at and sometimes constrict another when they are worked up and excited about food.

My opinion after keeping many rosies is this: the young can be kept together just fine but watch then at feeding time, as some are zealous and may strike at anything that moves (like another rosy crawling by). Adults seem to really appreciate solitude, moreso than many other snakes like milks and kings, which can be quite gregarious when given the choice.

I have housed adults together, and I never saw the same kind of bonding that I've seen with milksnakes or kingsnakes for example. Although I cannot know for sure what goes on in a rosy's pea-brain, the adults seem to NOT seek out one another's company other than for breeding or maybe to share a really nice basking area. That is my guess anyway. You can experiment for yourself.
