Humans have done more damage to the glades than any python will ever do.

Well, the pythons are there due to human activity. But I know what you mean.

Now it's 200,000 burms. They breed fast, don't they.

More BS in that article than the usual.

Either that or there were up to 400,000 of them before
the cold snap killed most of them. Who is just making up these numbers, numbers that don't even jive with the pre-cold snap exaggerations??? Unbelievable.

On a more serious note, what's this all about:

"While Florida wildlife officials managed to bag about 200 snakes, the licensed hunters came up empty."

Are the "wildlife officials" keeping the good spots to themselves?? If so, what's the point of giving out a few python hunting licenses? Is Florida that hard up for cash??

I think it was a clever way of continuing the message with very subtle caveats to claim legitimacy.
Lot of it was irrelevant and obsolete info, but they still had to get those talking points in anyway.
Most of it made no sense and was irrelevant to the current situation.
