Help identifying

Sunny_Sally May 19, 2010 12:07 PM

Hi, new to this forum but would like some help identifying this. I'm pretty sure it’s a salamander but id like to know more. A little info on where I found it… North GA and in a creek. Please advise if more info is needed. I may be able to add more pictures also if needed.
Thanks!

It's a Dusky Salamander. Here's one that I found in Kentucky last week:

Thanks for the help.. How large do these get? I've found then two and three times the size of this one.

The Southern Dusky can get over 6 inches in total length. I live where there's Northerns - which typically are about 4 inches.
