I never got to see the Red Rubidus. Could you post a pic of mottled and some with red highlights?

Hello Mr. Bill,

How are things ? Here is a shot of a 09 male. Email me and I'll
send you some more pictures. They are really cool looking.

Take care,

Wow, I am impressed by the progress! Truthfully guys in my opinion these animals are so different from the normal rubidus, Im not sure if I like them as much! Maybe they would grow on me though especially after I saw the normals over and over again! Thanks for sharing, B

Normal is relative, in that within a range there are differences within a population from valley to valley in the wild as in the rosy boa the color varies from one small area to the next. Sub-ocs are found in a blond phase Between Terlingua and Lajitas so beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

If you want to muddy the water some more there are natural intergrade zones, so what now? If I find an animal in an intergrade zone it is a mutt? Hmmm guess again to each his own. At the end of the day I like it,

Mottled phase Rubidus are very different.

Most of my 12 mottled 09 hatchlings look like this one.

I was talking with Terry Vandventer, think it was Terry, a while back and he had mentioned when Mexico was shipping back in the day that most of the Rubidus looked like the one from Brownsville you got, which if I remember correctly was one of the original wild ones. Good looking animal.
