Oops, spoke too soon: one hits some roots and gave up...she'll likely try again tonight.
The other laid 4 eggs.

Very cool. Mine are nesting super early as well...earlier than ever actually, despite a very cold winter.

I had to check records: the last time this one nested this early (5/25) was in 2004. Early June has been more typical.
