GRAVID FEMALE; QuESTION!!!

socalbum88 May 31, 2010 02:40 AM

I have three adult alligator lizards in a 50 gallon aquarium. I believe two female and one male. One of the females is gravid and I expect her to lay eggs in the next week or so. Should I take her out of the cage and put her in a 10 gallon until she lays her eggs. Or is she fine the aquarium with the other two allis and crickets? I plan on taking out the eggs and incubating them.

Alligator lizards can sometimes eat their own eggs. I learned this the hard way when I was a kid. I hope it worked out for you though.
