Punicius babies: 9

A colorful mother had 9 last night and they are typical and nippy right out of the sack and none are a coloful as mom as they gain colors with age. Actually, mom hid so well during the day that I did not know she was gravid until I happen to notice her out with a blob of babies.

And appearing rather empty, and after dropping the last baby, she quickly approach me (the food source) and I gave her 3 defrosted mice off tongs and I thought I saw her smile.

Congratulations Dan, can you visually sex these by pattern as newborns?

Thanks,
Bob

For the most part yes and the males are usually darker with smaller blotches and longer tails but they pop fine to be sure.
