Cactus for Redfoots

Chrissyo67 Jun 02, 2010 11:15 PM

What kind of cactus do Redfoots like to eat? I would like to plant some but don't know what they like.

Any kind. Spineless optunia are the best and easiest. Also if you're in an area where real Mexican food is sold, look for nopalitos. Those are cactus for human consumption. I wouldn't recommend planting the cactus in the enclosure with the redfoot. They will eat the whole thing! BTW, they really enjoy the flowers and fruit too.
