I live in Florida (Pesacola area), and I caught this snake on my porch today. I already drove down the road and let it go in the woods, but I'm curious what kind of snake it is. Here is a link to its picture:

This is a nice, non-venomous banded water snake, Nerodia fasciata. I am glad you released it.
