Indians growing up

LordDreyfus Jun 25, 2010 07:06 AM

Here is a group of indians that I got from Freight Freitas. Two are holding their color decently, but one is browning out. They have some sunset blood in the background, but aren't sunsets themselves. They are about as long as my arm now. Should be ready to breed in another year or two.

Very nice I am getting a pair of those in a couple of hours. I have always wanted to work with them. How do you have yours set up

LordDreyfus Jun 29, 2010 04:16 PM

Until recently I had them all together in a 55 gallon aquarium with a large undertank heater on one end.

I just transfered them to a 4ft boaphile cage recently. They are still all together, but I'll be seperating them soon. I don't want them to breed prematurely. Substrate has always been about 4 inches of aspen bedding.

Mine have a definate preference for small rats over mice. Another interesting thing I've noticed, is that they can't eat as large a meal as a similar sized kenyan. Or so it appears anyway.
