Thinking about a jc python

Hi,
I am contemplating getting a jcp this fall. I plan to keep him in a series of critter cages until I buy him a cage from Boaphile in a few years. Before I buy him I will save 200 of the 3 hundred it will cost for na 36X24 cage. Is this reasonable? Thanks,

If your getting it as a hatchling just get a cheap 10 gallon or so tank from walmart, 20 bucks or less probably. In the mean time watch craigslist and such places for good deals on larger cages or just have something made.
