My first Clutch of Bateaters.

Novice_Charmer Jun 26, 2010 01:30 PM

Well I knew I was getting close so I decided to candle again last night, but not quite this close,LOL. When I popped the top I found a head. I cut the other 3 since the stories of hybrids without an egg tooth were fresh in my head, and the other 3 were out this AM.
A couple of them were about half out of the eggs and looking around but retreated when I checked in on them.

Thanx for looking!

I'm really not into hybrids but the bateaters have always been tempting. Love their patterns and the combined personalities. I've got burms & retics, and you never know, I just might have to give 'em a shot one of these days.

Love the last photo! Thanks for sharing!

Later!

I agree with you HHB.. Not a fan of Hybreds at all, but those bateaters are something else. I just wish they got full size though.

you know what would be awesome. If someone bred a purple tiger retic to a green/granite burm.. Then bred the babies back to each other and got crazy lavender looking weird bateaters.. Now that would be something in which no one would know what to expect, but at least some will be purple albino.. Pretty cool..

I think if I had to pick a snake strictly for display the bateater's would be it! Great work on those they're spectacular!!!
