Jigsaw project clutch hatches!!!!

captnemo Jun 26, 2010 04:02 PM

As many of you know, I hatched out a very aberrant 75% Jungle Jag in 2008, and named him Jigsaw. I've been hoping and planning that there was a chance that it was something genetic, but have been patient and careful not to jump the gun.

This year, at 18 months, I placed him with his paternal aunt who I have on loan from Jay McLear of Best Boids, and he was more than eager to breed her. The finger crossing began!

They hatched last night, and lo and behold, look what I found!!!

Many of the others in the clutch of 8 jags, 2 normals, and 3 dead leucies are somewhat aberrently patterned as well, but none to the extent as this one. He looks just like dad, only the pattern is a bit more extreme. Now it's time to move forward and try and prove this out with future breeding trials over the next few years. I can't wait!

Mike....gorgeous as usual. And I regret to inform you that my "Green Tree Carpet python", the F2 lime green Carpondro died of unknown causes about 2 months ago You've seen her a few times, I think. Her cream/copper sister is fine, though.

Thanks, Jay. Sorry to hear about the carpondro. That thing was sweet. It was the one with the enlarged heart, correct?

No, that one turned out fine. This was the larger green w/yellow bands.

Due to the fact that I am the one poster that must follow TOS more than anyone here I will refrain from saying what I said outloud. I will merely say Nice Breeding!
