glass lizard eggs

neverquit Jul 07, 2010 07:34 PM

Hello everyone: one of my two glass lizards laid 7 eggs today. I've hatched many snake eggs, so I understand the procedure for snake eggs, but not too sure if glass lizards are different. I put some damp vermiculite in my hovabator and put the eggs in, half burying them. I set the thermostat at 85°. That's about it, does anyone have any experience with glass lizard eggs?

Thanks

neverquit

Hey man, I don't have any personal experience with hatching out glass lizard eggs but I've been doing a ton of research on them recently (I'll be getting a sheltopusik next week) and have a friend who managed to hatch some out in the past. From what I've heard the best temperature is around 82 degrees and you definitely want to keep the eggs drier than a typical snake egg. Hope that helps and good luck!

Shoot me an email anendeloflorien@gmail.com and I'll hook you up with my buddy who hatched them out before. Plus I want to be on the list for a baby or two lol.
