My RES laid an egg in the water...i removed it onces I found it and am wondering if the egg is still good or did it get water logged

Probably not good, but you never know. You need to give your turtle a place to lay eggs, or she will become egg bound and that may lead to serious heath issues down the road.

I've had eggs laid in the water hatch before although not slider eggs. I actually have some map turtle eggs incubating now that were laid in water. I think it depends on how long before they are emersed. If the eggs are bad you'll know w/in 3weeks.

I have two RES in a 100 gallon square enclosure. It has a styro ramp that is about 3'X 2'. Can I put an egg box for her to lay on that. The male has been laying on top of her for the last few days off and on. Thanks for your advice.
