Anyone else working with Ruthveni?
Not much talk about these either here on the Mexicana forum.
Although they are not in the Mexicana sub species anymore they are still kingsnakes from Mexico.....Actually the southern most kingsnake of all.....

They are rather underated King snakes in my opinion...
Very hardy and amazingly variable for a tricolored snake.....

I got this female from Shannon last year. She is a 2009 hatch F4 Tapalpa, Mexico Ruthveni.....Nice Aberrencies and getting big....

Hey J,
Here is a snake that I got from Shannon a couple of years ago.

It carries the same gene that you are showing(aberrant). However, it does not have that much aberrancy. In fact, Shannon gave me two snakes a couple of years ago. I kept one and gave him back the other a year later. He told me that he gave you the other snake. I'm sure it's doing well.

Great shots btw!!

Thanks Bobby....
I remember you posting that Ruthveni on another forum....
Great looking Ruthveni.....

I think the one you gave back to Shannon is the 2008 F4 Female I got from him early last year.......
I need to get some pics of her.....She's starting to put some size on her.....

I have a 2009 pair and that 2008 female all F4 Tapalpa, Mexico Ruthveni......And I have the parents and grandparents here on loan too....Maybe I can get them to reproduce next year......

A mexicana collection isn't complete without Ruthveni......LOL
Even thought they are no longer in the ssp.....
I still consider Ruthveni, Alterna, Greeri, Mexicana & Thayeri the Mexican kingsnakes.....I just wished Thayeri range would creep into Texas like Alterna......hehe
