Hi Aubrey,
Yes, I have been admiring for snakes for awhile. Nice website you have. I live way out east of the interstate. Just off of Sprecher.
Thanks for the kind words! Ok, I think I know where you are... not too far from me actually. I am on E Washington Ave near the High School. Small world!

Oh yes, not too far. We should maybe think about coordinating rodent orders. Maybe we could save some money on shipping.

Are you SURE they were laid on 4/22?
That means it took 3 months or 90 days for them to hatch?????
Did you mean they were laid on 5/22?
Congrats....can't wait to see pics......

It could be 4/22.... I used lower temps as an experiment last year and a lot of my eggs got very close to the 90 day mark.... I tell you I was pulling my hair out! Needless to say I bumped up my temps a bit this year, lol.

LOL......I agree...there is no need for all that stress......
I've found the best temp is around 80F.....Everything hatches out healthy around 60 or so days.......I tried 82F one year and got tiny hatchlings at 49 days.......I won't do that again....
I remember last year everyone talking about incubating at 77F or so......And I was just wondering why?
I've always wondered how long it takes them to hatch in the wild???
In the wild they drop into the low 70s & high 60s at night and raise into the mid to high 80s or so during the day......

Hi John,
Yes, it was 4/22. During the month of May and the first part of June, the temperature on the top shelf in my snakeroom was about 72-74. Of course now it is about 84. That's why it took so long. With temps like that, it didn't surprise me.

I'll get some in a week or 2. I don't want to disturb them until they start feeding.
