I'm a long time lurker but probably haven't posted more than a couple times, if ever. I bought a pair of Thayeri from Mike Bodner in January of 07. Both were hatched in late 2006. Here's a couple pictures of how they look today, the male is the MSP.

The female has always been a large snake, Mike mentioned in his emails when I bought her that she was one of the largest babies he had. Since I've had her she has been a chow hound, munching everything in sight. Because she was so big I attempted breeding them last year even though the male was on the small side. She laid 14 eggs all of which were infertile.

This year I again attempted to breed them with a little better luck. She laid 9 good eggs & 3 slugs. Of those 9 eggs 3 died off over the next 4 weeks. Last weekend 5 of those eggs hatched. I'm waiting on all of them to shed & hopefully will be posting pictures soon. Now all I have to do is get them to eat.

Be careful not to get them too fat.......Mike Bod

The pictures were taken less than 12 hours after feeding time so they appear fatter than they really are. I'm pretty sure the male is ok. The female may have a weight problem.

I weighed & measured them today & would appreciate any comments based on that. The male is 32" & weighs 265 grams. The female is 33" & weighs 359 grams.

Congrats on the babies, but sorry to hear that you had some bad ones. That MSP is gorgeous! Looking forward to seeing the baby pics!
