Just got these guys

Just got pair of Eastern Indigos from a third party but bred by Robert Bruce. Love these guys. Feeding very well on F/T rats and go crazy for goldfish. This picture is of the male. Thought I'd share.

Beautiful snake. I have to say of all the snakes I've ever kept, so far the indigo is the only one that has constantly kept me fascinated.

Enjoy keeping and caring for some beautiful snakes. I've been gradually convinced by others that Easterns and other Drymarchon will fare better in captivity on a diet heavy on chicks and light on rodents. I believe they're less likely to become obese and will be more successful at breeding. Eastern indigos: bet you can't keep one.

Thanks for the info Steve. I read in an care sheet that in addition to mice, rats, fish and quail, that you can also feed eastern indigos chicken parts. Has anyone tried this? if so, what kind of chicken part work best? Chicken wings?

Thanks Dan! Very healthy animals and a very smooth transaction. Couldn't ask for more. For anyone who doesn't know Dan and is thinking about buying snakes from him. Rest assured he is a good guy to work with. Very helpful and will take time to answer any questions you might have.
