Care of Rainbow Ameivas ?

Lia Aug 02, 2010 07:00 PM

Hi
Anyone keep or know how to keep Rainbow Ameivas (Cnemidophorus deppei)?

I am thinking of a M/F pair and was thinking of a 55 gall for the pair but can not find care info .
I would like to breed them if possible.

Thanks

Lia

Below is a link to care sheet. rainbow Amevias lay three eggs at a time, typically and will breed if you reduce the daylight hours and humidity durring the winter months. it is possible to double clutch. Feed them more, with vitamin and calcium suppliments, in the spring. Incubate eggs at 90f and they will hatch in 52 days.

Thank you very much could not find a thing on them.

I might house the pair outside in screened enclosure with sun and shade (Miami).

Thanks
