My new Easterns from Joe Bernardo

yidaki Aug 17, 2010 04:49 PM

This morning the UPS man ( a.k.a Santa Claus) delivered a box of 2 of the most awesome snakes ever. These guys are 6' ( im 6'7" and the male is every bit as long as I am tall) fast and feisty.. but not feisty in a bad way, neither of them bit me when unloading or when I had to change their heat lamp a few minutes ago. The male did however rush twords my hand when I was unscrewing the bulb and give me a slight headbutt, he then cocked his head and looked me right in the eye before turning around and heading back to his hide... I got the message loud and clear

Joe, Thanks for the opporunity to own these guys, as a major colubrid snob I appreciate them and admire the work youve put into them over the last couple of years you had them. The packing job was great and the snakes are in fantastic condition.

sorry the pics are fuzzy, The light from the heat lamp is over exposing a bit I think. Both pictures are of the male, the female is almost identical but with a slightly more femanine build.

No prob Joe! Looking forward to seeing those baby easterns, get ready for anole collecting season lol. I wonder if these guys will be any quicker to feed bieng captive bred. I'm definitely looking forward to raising a couple up, bieng in captivity from day one and developing a full trust of their keeper will probably result in a really awesome snake.
