I have a female gtp that I have had for several years now with no problems. I have recently noticed her resting on the ground of her cage, usually among the plants. I have read that this is a "normal behavior" but in the five years I have had her she has never done this before. The house has been hotter than usual because of the heat wave. she seems normal in all other ways. I even tried soaking her but she seems to like being on the ground now except feeding time. any suggestions?

I've seen mine on the ground when outside temps get really hot and the interior room temps go up a little higher than normal.
