WOW! i can see orange coloring bleeding through on those babies already, can't wait to see what they look like after they shed, mom and dad are beautiful, congrats.
I had darn near an identical looking litter this morning...19 babies, a normal x dodoma cross...although, your female looks nicer. Congratulations!

congrats. its good to see that some true pure dodomas are still out there. you're probaly thinking of tim king. he had one of the original and best dodoma lines. a number of my dodomas are from his line. they are probably the best feeders and the purest genetically of whats out there now. thanks, scott erycine1@aol.com

Thanks that's the guy... You are right from what i see on the web a lot of the stuff labled as flame race or dodomas to me look like they are not 100% they look to me as a half mix into a normal kenyan sand boa.
I know 'dodomas' were originally coined dodoma flames. Presently in the pet trade anything that is 100% dodoma should be referred to as a 'dodoma'....we refer to dodoma crosses as 'flames', since they retain their color throughout their life.

You know it's actually a shame when these sand boas first where brought into the states they where named Flame race type because they retained there nice orange coloring compaired to the normal kenyan sand boa.... now to here guy's now call any sand boas that have bright orange color Flames is just crazy!! they should be calleng those sand boas high orange or something on the line... why does everyone always screw things up... a Flame race sand boa was known as the sand boa that was brightly colored and came from a certain location... now you got flames just from breeding normals???? now that's a BIG MIX UP!!
and i am sure glad mine are 100% True Flame race sand boas from the originals that where first ever sold.
It's not only this boa they do this with all reptiles mix match rename mix everything up kind of deal.
I have your same concerns....
I see people selling flames on the internet and the color is all flecked (dulled and turning black...vinny is the one who introduced me to this term, I'm not sure if it is industry standard or a crazy scientist term)out. Basically, if you see a sand boa with flecking in the color, it's not a dodoma or flame. If you see a sand boa with reduced pattern, clean color and eye stripes, it probably is not a dodoma, it is a flame.
I think if there was an industry standard and it was pushed then we could educate what is and what is not...quite frankly, because of the low cost even for high end sand boas, I just don't think the commercial breeders care to try and be closer with their descriptions. IMHO.

Yea I know some look horrible!
hers Mine

very nice pics. beautiful animals. thanks scott erycine1@aol.com
actually there are breeders who care, and its got nothing to do with cost. some have worked very hard to keep their dodomas pure because they are a beautiful locality sandboa and you cant get any more to add to the bloodlines. the cost factor comes into play when things are mislabeled to bring in more $ from uneducated buyers at shows and online. thanks scott erycine1@aol.com
its not the pet trade, the pet trade couldnt care less. to them they are all just kenyans. its people that sell them that tag names onto them. not all dodoma crosses retain the clean orange color. thanks, scott erycine1@aol.com
welcome. they are not pure, they are mixes. unfortunately its because one of teh original breeders that brought them in started mixing them with normal kenyans right away and still sold them as pure dodomas. thanks scott erycine1@aol.com
