I breed feeder ratsnakes so I'm not under too much pressure to get my Regals on mice although I admit it's nicer than feeding them snakes. She's new to the collection and I'm still fattening her up before introducing her to my big male. I hope he thinks of her as a sweetheart instead of as a sweet treat. Sometimes, snakes that include biting in courtship forget what they were doing and transition to swallowing mode.
I also have a large female who could turn the tables on accidentally eating a mate. She's 28 inches. He's 26 inches.

I haven't heard of any regals eating each other, but when you try to breed them just watch them close for the first 10 minutes they're together... watch how they act towards each other, and maybe don't leave them unattended for too long. but when you put them together keep in mind that the male may bite the female on the neck during breeding.
