Unfortunately my wife has an irrational fear of snappers. My last common would stalk her from his high-walled tank next to the laundry sink. My son and I had to ceremoniously let it loose in Tinicum National Wildlife Preserve (on Mothers Day 2004) to allay her fears. Unfortunately when I got an alligator snapper in 2006 I couldn't convince her it was a completely different animal, that basically does NOTHING till food swims by its open mouth. I'm gonna miss her when she gives up on me.
